Shoreland announcements

The Heritage Fund makes up about 10% of the SLHS operating budget, and is also intended to grow beyond that, providing outside-the-budget enhancements to your high school ministry.  Since the Heritage Fund was put into place 4 years ago, there have been significant blessings that have advanced the mission of Shoreland Lutheran, such as additional courses, administrative & instructional support, and technology & fine arts enhancements. Thanks to all those who have contributed to our annual Heritage Fund. Veterans Day Assembly
Please join us as we honor our country’s veterans.  Shoreland is hosting a Veterans Day Assembly on Friday, November 11th, from 2:15pm – 2:45pm. Our guest speaker will be Racine County Veterans Service Officer, Retired U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sergeant Brad Behling.  Veterans, please call the Shoreland office (262-859-2595) to reserve a seat. Veterans and their families are invited to a light reception following the assembly.

Bus Drivers Needed
Shoreland Lutheran High School is looking to hire a part time (10-20 hours a week) bus driver. We are looking for someone who is courteous, thoughtful, loves working with students, and read schedules/follow map directions. SLHS will provide 100% paid training and help the qualified individual obtain their CDL. One of the best benefits of being a SLHS school bus driver is becoming part of our family and a discount on tuition! Max Lucado - False Doctrine

I love the way author Max Lucado writes. He is a great storyteller and a fantastic wordsmith. I have a number of Lucado's books on my shelves and receive his daily paragraph devotions. However, as popular as he is, as many books as he has sold, as many lives as he has touched with the Gospel, he still proclaims false doctrine. Water into blood and water into wine

Here are some thoughts that didn’t make it into Sunday’s sermon. The Old Testament lesson for the 2nd Sunday after Epiphany is the account of Moses turning the water of the Nile River into blood. The first of the ten plagues God used to get the Israelites out of Egypt. Exodus 7:14-24 Then the LORD said to Moses, "Pharaoh's heart is unyielding; he refuses to let the people go. 15 Go to Pharaoh in the morning as he goes out to the water.
